Indoor & Outdoor Pools

Be part of our Masters swim team! Coach Charlotte Jenkins will focus on the four competitive strokes and help get you to the next level.
Get a great workout while improving your swimming skills. Participation at local water swims is optional. Must be registered with USMS to compete.

Prerequisite: Completion of Level 4 skills.
Class will focus on the development of freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly along with racing starts and turns.
Classes are held in the indoor & outdoor pool weather permitting.

Ages: 13 years to Adult
Gain confidence in the water and develop swimming skills while improving your stroke techniques.
3-Class session: $45 member/$54 public
4-Class session: $60 member/$72 public

Learn how to organize and conduct classes and to safely teach all levels of swimming skills. Students who successfully complete the course will be able to teach American Red Cross “Learn-to-Swim” programs.
Pre-requisites: 16 years of age before the final day of the course. Demonstrate at an American Red Cross “Learn-to-Swim” Ability Level 6.

Get a jump start on summer 2009! Sign up, and train to be a lifeguard n-o-w! This program provides the knowledge and skills to become red Cross Certified Lifeguard. Participants must be 15 years of age, able to swim 300 yards, and generally be confident in the water. This is not a camp — this is a program to become a certified lifeguard.

Kids ages 13 and older
may use the fitness center, pools, equipment and group fitness classes without a parent or guardian.
Kids ages 10-12
may use fitness equipment and attend group fitness classes if they are accompanied by parent or guardian and will receive a blue wrist band if they pass a swim test administered by our lifeguards indicating that they can use the pool on their own (they may not be dropped off at the JCC unaccompanied).
Kids ages 8-9
must always be accompanied by a parent or guardian while in the JCC; they may not use the fitness center or exercise equipment. They will receive an orange wrist band if they pass a swim test administered by our lifeguards indicating that they can be in the pools without their parents, but the parent (or guardian) must remain on the pool deck or in the grassy area at all times.
Kids ages 7 and under
must always be accompanied by a parent or guardian while in our pools, regardless of their swimming ability and may not use the fitness center or exercise equipment. Children under 4 may not use the spa
