Pe’sach, the Hebrew word for Passover, means a fluent, open mouth. According to Jewish mystical tradition, Passover celebrates the miracle of going from speechlessness to speech, from exile to freedom. Join Rabbi Alyson for this Passover-themed class exploring Jewish wisdom, gentle movement (seated options available), and breathing exercises to experience first-hand how Passover can liberate our voices by opening our heart and mouth.
We will begin with gentle movements and breathing, reflect on teachings from Rabbi Yirachmiel Yisrael Danziger (1853–1910) about the Haggadah, and explore how Passover can open our hearts and voices.
All are welcome. Please come as you are. Accessible movements will be provided for all to participate.
What to Bring:
Comfortable clothes suggested, bring a yoga mat to lay on, and a water bottle. We will provide mats for anyone who does not have, and we will also offer alternative seating options.
Please email adavidi@marinjcc.org to request a no-cost ticket if needed.
